Abstract
As basic study on development of the ultrasound blood vascular image enhancement system using higher harmonic components based on nonlinear behavior of microbubble contrast agent, nonlinear response of microbubble contrast agent illuminated with ultrasound pulse were investigated theoretically anb experimentally. In this study, the effect of coated membrane shell for long life time of microbubbles, size distribution and randomness of spatial distribution of microbubbles were considered. As results of comparison of experimented and simulated data, experimental data and simulated data of 2nd harmonics excitation efficiency showed good agreements. Therefore, it was proved that the behavior of higher harmonic components excitation by microbubble contrast agent can be expressed with the analytical approach proposed in this report. The harmonic components were observed continuously more than about 8 minutes
