Abstract
This paper reports the record of ground vibration generated by an impact on the ground surface using centrifuge modeling technique. Problem of surface ground vibration have wider application to various fields, such a geophysical exploration, seismic and environmental vibration. A ball-dropping system has been newly developed, which can simulate the wave propagation in various input loading sources. The system can apply quasi-line load and quasi-moving load as well as point load. The paper presents a set of physical data of propagation waves through the ground surface induced by the point load. It is also demonstrated that the superposition of the waves holds in the case of quasi-moving load.
