Abstract

Multistage Switching Networks is promissing method to construct large scale ATM switching system. To use very-high-speed interconnection link which carries many VC connection, connection blockinng probability in Multistage Switching Networks can be reduced. Because each highly multiplexed link utilization is balanced statistically. In addition to lower blocking probability, re-arrangement of VC connection dosen't cause violation of cell order by small delay time deviation. So we can distribute load fairly and avoid connection blocking by rearranging VC connection.
