Abstract
We propose a new approach to identify the rotational frequency of a droplet which degrades accuracy of surface tension measurement by an oscillating droplet method. Frequency due to droplet rotation and that of m = ±2 oscillation can be identified by a phase unwrapping method, i.e. using a droplet image in the top view, we analyzed time dependence of the deflection angle for maximum diameter. The present method was validated, using the test data with given frequencies.
