Abstract

This paper describes the investigation results of DC leakage currents and space charge distributions in the cable insulation performed to clarify the mechanism of the DC leakage current peak in 6.6kV XLPE cables. These measurements were carried out at various amounts of residual by-product of crosslinking reaction. The mechanism of the DC leakage current peak is considered from the investigation results.
