Abstract

In this paper, we proposes an adjustment method of multiple camera alignment. It is necessary when we setup multiple cameras for getting multi-view images. We have ever used mechanical method to adjust multiple camera alignment. Mechanical method needs measuring camera positions and angles. We have ever used measure, protractor, level and turntable to measure camera positions and angles. It takes a lot of trouble. And it takes time. However, our proposal method doesn't need measure, protractor, level and turntable. Because, our proposal method calculates camera positions and angles from acquired images. So we can adjust multiple cameras alignment without trouble. In particular, our proposal method calculates camera positions and angles using camera calibration. And we can perform camera calibration with acquired images and calibration pattern. So we can get camera positions and angles from acquired images. In this way, our proposal method calculates camera positions and angles from acquired images and display real camera positions and angles and ideal camera positions and angles on computer monitor by 3DCG.
