Abstract
This paper proposes a radio resource management system for wireless LANs using a cloud server and the Internet. This radio resource management focuses on access points with high mobility, such as "mobile routers". The supervisor on the cloud space collects information about operating channel and transmit/received signal power and then report operating channel and transmit power which would maximize the average user throughput to each AP. In this paper, both successful channel occupation possibility in CSMA/CA and data rate determined by the adaptive modulation are expressed as functions having operating channel and transmit power as parameters. Simulation analyses reveal that the proposed system drastically improves user throughputs in the case that access points are located densely.
